Me and Notso recorded this episode, part one of a few, today – and at the end we both feel this is not just our best episode to date, but some of the most important for a multitude of reasons. The chronicles of the Madjag Canyon belong in a frickin Netflix documentary. The people involved are super humble, so it wasn’t blown up like a lot of fame seekers did, and one of them, Jim, is one of my favorite storytellers there are. But he’s not just telling stories. His come with proof… pictures… being documented in high times way back then as well for the weight they brought in over 5 seasons in the canyon. Raho is Madjags very close friend who is also a grower from a similar era who kept copious notes on ever last detail of the buds, strains, all of it – coming in his area. And he was growing the seeds as well! All in all, me and Notsodog are extremely proud and humbled to deliver the beginning of this tale to the people who TRULY love weed. Jim has lived the life only a few of people have ever had the King Kong balls and determination to pull off during an era with draconian sentences. Punk rock fully engaged, this is their tale.
I highly recommend reading up on the madjag canyon crew for a good foundation on what we will be diving into. We are going to tell this story until we all four feel like it’s been given a thorough telling. I really feel like this is that important to document.
